Hitmaking Canadian funk-pop duo Chromeo has confirmed a June 15th release date for their long-awaited new album, officially titled Head Over Heels. They have also added a number of dates to their “Head Over Heels Tour” in support of the new project, their first since 2014’s White Women.
Chromeo has also announced that a wide spectrum of guest artists including The-Dream, French Montana, Stefflon Don, and Amber Mark contributed vocals to Head Over Heels, while Raphael Saadiq, Rodney Jerkins, and Pino Palladino provided additional instrumentation.
The album also includes Grammy-nominated singer DRAM and former Prince guitarist Jesse Johnson on the characteristically catchy “Must’ve Been”, which Chromeo has now released as a single along with a brand-new music video. As Chromeo notes in their post, the Dugan O’Neal-directed “Must’ve Been” is a “mini-movie about a 30-year friendship” between Dave 1 and P-Thugg, tracing the pair’s hilarious and heartwarming hijinx at various stages in their lives over the titular refrain: “I must’ve been high when I met you…” Check it out below:
