On Monday, January 13th, the LSU Tigers took on the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff National Championship game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA. In the middle of the second quarter, as the Tigers from Louisiana picked apart the Tigers from South Carolina en route to a 42-25 victory, the LSU marching band worked in a cover of Lettuce favorite, “Mt. Crushmore”.

After a pair of standout sets on last week’s Jam Cruise 18, Lettuce will now head to Mexico for their performance as part of Dead & Company‘s Playing In The Sand destination event.

In other Lettuce news, the band was recently nominated for a Grammy Award in the “Best Contemporary Instrumental Album” category. Here’s hoping Lettuce takes home a title of their own at the Grammy Awards on January 26th.

However they fare at the Grammys, Lettuce will continue to spread their unique brand of funk across the country as their Elevate Tour continues through 2020. For a full list of upcoming Lettuce tour dates, head here.
