Last night, Spafford continued their ongoing “For Amusement Only” winter tour with a stop at Buffalo Iron Works in Buffalo, NY. The setlist consisted predominantly of tried-and-true live vehicles like “The Postman”, “Backdoor Funk”, “The Remedy”, “Virtual Bean Dip”, and “Galisteo Way”, as well as fan-favorite covers like the Grateful Dead‘s “Feel Like A Stranger” and Tears For Fears‘ “Mad World”. The show also included the tour debuts of “Diana” and “Crazy”.
One of the performance’s highlights came when they dove into “People” to end set 1 but never finished the composition, instead moving into a walk-off piano solo by Red Johnson (al la Phish‘s “Squirming Coil”). However, Spafford picked back up right where they left off for set two, opening the set with the end of “People” that they had skipped in set one.
