On Thursday, The Lonely Island, the musical comedy trio comprised of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer, released their new The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience Netflix special and album. The 27-minute “visual poem” creates a hilarious scenario in 1988 where baseball home run sluggers Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, commonly referred to as the Bash Brothers, record a rap album, and includes special guests HAIM, Sia, Maya Rudolph, Jenny Slate, and more.

The special stars Andy Samberg as Canseco and Akiva Schaffer as McGwire, which was directed by Schaffer and Mike Diva. The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience was conceived in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Oakland Athletics‘ 1989 championship season. Following retirement, Canseco and McGwire both admitted to taking performance-enhancing drugs throughout their careers, adding an additional element of comedy for Samberg and Schaffer to toy around with. The film is now streaming on Netflix.

Fans can stream the companion soundtrack, which is available on all major streaming platforms, as well as watch videos of “Uniform On” and “Oakland Nights” below:
