If you want The Foo Fighters to play your town, you can’t just ask them. They’re rock and roll royalty, after all.

So, this group of 1,000 Italian musicians – yes, one thousand – came together to perform a cover of the Foo’s “Learn To Fly”, in hopes of bringing the band out to Cessna, Italy. Called the Rockin’ 1000, as to be expected, the group is comprised of hundreds of guitarists, bassists, drummers, and singers. Check out their performance below:

You can find out more about the group through their official website. The campaign started in May of 2014, though Crowdfunding campaigns didn’t begin until nearly a year later. All of that planning culminated in the video shown above. If this isn’t a testament to the power of rock music, then what is?
