The third annual Global Citizen Festival, held on September 27th in NYC’s Central Park, will feature headlining performances from Jay Z and No Doubt. The festival is sponsored by the charity Global Citizen, who work to promote basic human rights worldwide, and tickets can be acquired for free through the charity’s website.

All you have to do is earn points by watching videos and signing petitions, then redeem those points for lottery entries. With a capacity of over 60,000, lottery entries all but ensure our attendance to the event. (For reference, I have personally been able to attend the last two years without any problem). VIP tickets are also available for purchase.

The full lineup includes Carrie Underwood, Tiesto, fun., and The Roots. Performances are intertwined with charitable videos and speeches, giving the whole event a feel-good atmosphere.
