In 1995, a number of reggae artists banded together to release Fire On The Mountain: Reggae Celebrates the Grateful Dead, a roots-soaked tribute to the Grateful Dead. Among those featured were Frederick “Toots” Hibbert, Wailing Souls, Mighty Diamonds, Freddie McGregor and more!

20 years later, the collection is getting the deluxe reissue treatment, complete with a ton of incredible bonus footage just waiting for the light of day. Among the B-sides and alternate takes on the record is a “lost” session featuring a young Warren Haynes, who lends his voice to The Workingmen’s “Stop That Train” and his guitar to Marcia Griffith’s “Shakedown Street”.

There’s also a dub version of “They Love Each Other” included on the deluxe reissue, which features B3 organ work from the legendary Merl Saunders. Now that’s going to be smokin’ hot!

The disc will be available through all major platforms on November 20th via Red Hillz Music.
