311, Method Man and Redman will be on hand next spring for Red Rocks Amphitheatre‘s annual “high holiday” festivities on April 19th. The famous outdoor music venue announced the 2019 return of their 420 Eve on the Rocks concert event on Tuesday, which is scheduled to take place once again on April 19th with headlining performances from the aforementioned three artists, in addition to The Green, Dizzy Wright, and Jesse Royal

The one-night event is, of course, a celebration for those who partake in 420-friendly activities, as the unofficial holiday for cannabis users falls the following day, April 20th (or 4/20). Roots reggae outfit Stick Figure  is scheduled to headline Red Rocks the following evening on the actual green-friendly holiday. Stick Figure was on the bill for the 2016 edition of 420 Eve on the Rocks as support for Method Man and Redman, who also headlined the 2018 show this past spring with support from Collie Buddz, Prof, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and Chali 2NA of Jurassic 5.

Last year’s event saw both attendees and artists enjoying what 303 Magazine described as, “a constant billow of smoke rolling through the amphitheater and a cheering crowd.” It’s no surprise that the venue keeps recruiting 311, Method Man, and Redman, as all three artists and their music are strongly connected to the cannabis lifestyle that’s become second-nature to Coloradans ever since the western U.S. state became the first to legalize recreational use of marijuana back in November 2012.

The April 19th event is one of the first scheduled concerts at Red Rocks when the venue begins its 2019 season in the spring. Other shows already announced by the venue include Twiddle and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Vulfpeck with Khruangbin and Cory Henry, moe. with Mike Gordon and White Denim, and Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band, just to name a few.
