As people around the globe continue to shelter in place in hopes of curbing the spread of the ongoing pandemic, cannabis lovers are left with a burning question: How does one celebrate 4/20 in the age of coronavirus?
Thankfully, Colorado-based dispensary chain LivWell Enlightened Health and its philanthropic arm, LivWell Cares, have you covered: Presenting 420 For A Cause, an online 420 celebration featuring your favorite musicians, comics, and more hosted by comedian Andy Juett. Tune in below:
420 For A Cause Stream
The program will feature a range of pre-recorded, Colorado-grown live performances including Dance Party Time Machine (featuring members of The Disco Biscuits, Thievery Corporation, Lotus, The Motet, SunSquabi, The New Mastersounds, Other Worlds, The New Deal, and Trey Anastasio Band), Ghost-Live (featuring members of Soulive and Ghost-Note), and more.
The broadcast will also feature assorted videos from DJ Logic, Dragondeer, Dopapod, Star Kitchen (featuring The Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein), SPAGA (featuring The Disco Biscuits’ Aron Magner), and more in addition to a comedy lineup including The Sklar Brothers, Ron Funches, Doug Benson, Jonah Ray, Dan Soder, Rachel Wolfson, Blake Webber, and others.
In the spirit of TV telethons, the FREE live steam will enable participants to make direct donations throughout the duration of the broadcast. 100% of all donations will benefit participating organizations including Eddie Roberts‘ The Payback, an emergency relief fund for musicians; the Angel Relief Fund, a program of the Colorado Restaurant Foundation; the Colorado COVD Relief Fund; and the Colorado Comedy Relief Fund.
