The Northwest Herald is reporting that, in Algonquin, IL, a 40-year-old mother of three fired several rounds into the family television while her children were watching it. Apparently, the mother was sick of just how much her kids were watching TV. Regardless of her reasoning, she is being held for discharging a firearm, which is a felony. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the shooting.
The children were watching a Primus video, and we learned about the story from Les Claypool himself. Claypool commented on Facebook, saying “It doesn’t surprise me, I’ve been tempted to shoot at the TV when our videos come on as well. Especially that damn Beaver video.”
While we don’t know which Primus song was playing on TV during the shooting, we can at least enjoy the bizarreness that is “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver.”
