Throughout the track, Aaron highlights the Big Easy’s best and brightest from Professor Longhair to Dr. John to Fats Domino to “the great Satchmo” Louis Armstrong.

“The most amazing part of the ‘Stompin’ Ground’ session and the song is how seamlessly and quickly all the musicians came together, but it’s no surprise when you are talking about New Orleans music royalty under the musical direction of producer Eric Krasno!” Take Me To The River: New Orleans director Martin Shore told Relix. “Aaron Neville, Charles Neville, Ivan Neville, Ian Neville, George Porter Jr., and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, were simply amazing. After a short rehearsal it was a one take wonder! Everybody involved was on their A-Game. ‘Stompin’ Ground’ really embodies what Take Me to the River: New Orleans film, record, and live show represents. Demonstrating diverse inclusive collaborations highlighting one of the World’s most important cultural jewels and music community, New Orleans!”
