The AC/DC ‘Rock or Bust World Tour’ have confirmed ten final shows in America, making up for scheduled performances that were previously postponed when singer Brian Johnson was forced to step back due to potential hearing loss. Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose stepped in and continued for their European dates, and will return with the band for their final shows in August in September. You can watch their first-ever performance together here.
AC/DC’s Brian Johnson Explains Why His Hearing Loss Condition Forced Him To Stop Touring
Hitting Greensboro, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo, New York, Washington, and Philadelphia, all original ticket-holders will be honored for the rescheduled dates and refunds are available at point of purchase. More information can be found on the band’s website.
“This band has got a ton of energy and you’re going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon,” Angus Young explained in a press release. “I want to get back out there onstage in the U.S. with these guys so our audience can see and feel it too.”
What will happen beyond this tour remains a mystery, as several members of the band are not currently able to tour with them. With Brian Johnson currently out, as well as rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young getting an unfortunate diagnosis of dementia and longtime drummer Phil Rudd in trouble with the law in Australia, fans will question whether an AC/DC without so many of its core members is even AC/DC anymore.
