Over the past few years, the Adult Swim television brand has expanded into the festival arena with its own annual weekend music event which has featured performances from artists like Run The Jewels, Jamie xx, Big Freedia, Thundercat, and comedian Eric Andre to name a few. This year, with the global live events industry in limbo, Adult Swim will present a virtual event next month branded as Adult Swim Con.
Announced on Thursday, Adult Swim Con will take place virtually over the weekend of July 23rd—25th, and will feature surprise musical guests, a Robot Chicken live episode, a cosplay competition, and more. While the full lineup has yet to be revealed, organizers announced artists including Flying Lotus and a Crystal Fantasy (DJ set) will be part of the virtual event.
