Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, Miguel, Tyler the Creator, Jaden Smith, The Internet, Twin Shadow and more will perform in Brooklyn when Afropunk Festival returns on August 25th and 26th. Slated to take place in Fort Greene’s Commodore Barry Park, the gathering will once again feature two days of music, food, art, and activism. Other acts on the bill include Willow Smith, Denzel Curry, Ibeyi, Jamila Woods, Lolawolf, Fantastic Negrito, and H.E.R. Afropunk’s full lineup can be found here.

Additionally, the festival has announced a new “Buy One, Give One” initiative that will give one ticket to a New York City-area youth for every ticket sold. More specifically, those tickets will be given out to young people who have participated in local art programs like Recess Art and Young New Yorkers. Tickets for Afropunk Festival are now on sale.

In related news, Afropunk also unveiled the lineup for its Carnival of Consciousness, which is scheduled to take place in Atlanta on October 13th and 14th. That event will feature sets from N.E.R.D., Benjamin Booker, The Internet, Wicked Wisdom, Noname, Little Simz, Serpentwithfeet, Yves Tumor, and Karl Faux. Ticketing information for Carnival of Consciousness is not yet available.
