Earlier this month, The Allman Betts Band announced the cancelation of a run of European and North American tour dates throughout the remainder of August and into September after Devon Allman was forced to undergo an emergency appendectomy. While Allman continues to recover and prep for another surgery before he can start rocking out again, the band has shared an update on his health, in addition to announcing a few new tour dates once they return to the road this fall.

The Allman Betts Band is set to restart the tour on October 18th beginning with their appearance at the Natchez Balloon Festival in Natchez, MS. The tour will continue along the eastern U.S. for a few weeks before the band links up with The Charlie Daniels Band for four new dates at the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY (11/13); the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA (11/14); the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT (11/15); and The Vine at Del Lago in Waterloo, NY (11/16).

After which, the only remaining tour dates scheduled for 2019 is the band’s performance at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, GA on December 30th.

The band also shared an update on the health of Allman with a post to their social media channels stating, “Devon is healing fine from the first surgery in Germany. He is in good spirits and is now readying for the next surgery. He has a rock star team of doctors in St. Louis and should be fully healed for the big comeback in Mid-October. -Team ABB.”

Allman even took to his own Instagram to share an image of one of said “rock star” doctors ripping away on the guitar. Check out the post below.
