alt-J and Portugal. The Man joined forces to deliver a co-headlining performance at 1STBANK Center in Colorado on Wednesday. The show in Broomfield came as part of the indie rock outfits’ joint North American winter/spring tour.

Leeds trio alt-J is hot off the release of its fourth album, The Dream, which dropped last month. Arriving a full decade after the art-rock band’s 2012 debut, An Awesome Wave, bandmates Joe Newman (guitar/lead vocals), Thom Sonny Green (drums), and Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards/vocals) take the Mercury Prize-winning ensemble into a new decade with the band’s first new release since 2017’s Relaxer.

Last month also witnessed Portugal. The Man issue new music with the single, “What, Me Worry?” Inspired by MAD Magazine, the track is set to appear on a yet-untitled new album allegedly slated to arrive in June. It will mark the Alaska sextet’s first full-length release since 2017’s Woodstock. For Wednesday’s show, guitarist John Gourley donned Insane Clown Possee Juggalo-style face paint.
