During Phish‘s historic Baker’s Dozen run this past summer, New York City became many Phish fans’ stomping grounds with pre-parties and post-parties popping up all over the Manhattan and Brooklyn. Jam-friendly, multi-room venue American Beauty, which is located right around the corner from Madison Square Garden, saw record crowds flow in and out of the club during the Baker’s Dozen mayhem, both before and after the main event each night.

American Beauty’s motto is Live Music – Craft Beer – Free Pizza, making it a go-to with its enticing deal of free pizza with the purchase of any alcoholic beverage. With the Vermont Quartet back in town for a four-night New Year’s run (Dec. 28th – 31st), the club has announced a packed schedule of pre-parties (without cover charges); late-night performances from the likes of The Nth Power, Particle, The Werks, Kung Fu; the return of The Jerry Lounge; and much more to end 2017 in style.

Deep down inside at the very core of The Nth Power you will find only L-O-V-E. The spiritually soulful funk of Nick Cassarino, Nikki Glaspie, and Nate Edgar comes from a collectively diverse musical portfolio that got its chops by playing to the masses in various formations across all stretches of the music-verse. But when creating their own unique sound, it becomes increasingly clear that these musicians simply belong together. There is something relentlessly inspiring behind the music and lyrics of this Earth-bound band that is able to stretch out to the furthest reaches of consciousness, thought, and being. Open yourself up and let The Nth Power in.

Keyboard wizard Steve Molitz has been at the helm of Particle since the band began, interestingly enough, at a Phish after-party in California at the very beginning of the 1.0 era hiatus back in 2000. Particle, along with The Disco Biscuits, STS9, and Lotus, was one of the first acts to blend the jam and electronic genres together, creating the livetronica sub-genre at the onset of the new millennium. With the release of Launchpad and Transformations Live, Particle took on a life of its own, playing and touring with the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart and Phil Lesh, Robby Krieger of The Doors, Joe Satriani, Blackalicious, The String Cheese Incident’s Michael Kang, and many more. Purchase tickets here.

Dayton, OH’s The Werks have been grinding things out on the road and in the studio over the past decade, making their mark on the jam scene with their creative songwriting and epic live improvisation. The Werks continue to earn fans across the country by throwing down fire sets at festivals like Camp Bisco, Jam Cruise, Electric Forest, High Sierra; carving out their own slice of the festie scene with their own hometown event The Werk Out Music & Arts Festival; and headlining countless venues nationwide. No strangers to the Phish late-night game, the group will also be returning to American Beauty for what is sure to be yet another unique performance well into the early hours of the morning. Out of their dojo in Connecticut, Kung Fu delivers a deadly funk-fusion assault that would defeat the most sinister of demonic rakshasas. Over the past few months, the group has been releasing a series of singles dubbed Ninja Cuts, with the latest in the series featuring deep funk classic cut “Scorpion” penned by keyboardist Beau Sasser. In a recent interview with L4LM, drummer Adrian Tramontano discussed Kung Fu’s activity in the studio and switching things up with their live shows, “We’re writing a lot of new tunes. We’re just changing up our show a lot from what it used to be in the past. We are getting really open about how we’ve been playing stuff lately. I want people to get into the band, dig into the set list and check stuff out on archive.” Purchase tickets here.
