Earlier in July, The Peach Music Festival returned to Scranton, Pennsylvania’s Montage Mountain, offering a wild selection of high-profile artists from the extended. On Saturday, the bill was topped by Gov’t Mule, who performed their special “Dark Side Of The Mule” Pink Floyd tribute set, plus Little Feat performing Waiting For Columbus in collaboration with moe. and the Turkuaz Horns. In addition to performances from Chris Robinson BrotherhoodDevon Allman Project ft. Duane BettsSpaffordGhost Light, and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, another major highlight of Saturday was Aqueous, who drew a sizeable crowd for their afternoon set at the Mushroom Stage.

During Aqueous’ performance at The Peach Music Festival 2018, the group pulled out all the stops, welcoming the Turkuaz Horns, who were billed as one of the weekend’s “artists-at-large,” for a sing-along cover of Huey Lewis and the News‘ classic hit “Power Of Love”—marking the group’s first performance of the tune in 276 shows. While this cover made major waves and was one of the standout moments of the band’s set, Aqueous’ entire performance showed the group at its finest, with their immense improvisational abilities and tight musical connection on full display.

Following “Power Of Love”, Aqueous launched into “The Median”, a tune off the group’s 2014 album, Cycles. The band’s extended take on “The Median” kicked off the second half of their six-song set. Aqueous taking the opportunity to stretch out on the tune before expertly segueing into “Warren In The Window” (from 2012’s Willy is 40) ahead of a high-octane set-closing rendition of “Don’t Do It”.
