Author of best-selling book How To Make It in the New Music Business, Ari Herstand, is taking his expertise to the next level and hosting an online workshop series about artist management. In the first installment of Expert Conversations on the New Music Business, Ari explored the topic What Does A Manager Do & How To Get One. The second session, How to Book and Execute a Successful Tour, is designed for up-and-coming industry professionals and DIY artists, and will take place this Sunday, September 17.
The seminar will feature a booking agent (Jaime Kelsall, APA), promoter (Chris Diaz, Spaceland Presents), tour manager (Ben Adams, The Off Spring, RL GRIME), talent buyer (Amy Madrigali, Troubadour), and DIY artist (Mateo Vosganian, Wild Adriatic) as Ari asks them questions about who they are, what they do, how they got their start, and how to pull off a successful tour in todays world. The session comes with a download of a ton of great assets like a sample contract, booking forms, day sheet templates, sample budgets, a full replay of the event, and more.
The seminar will take place between 10am and 5pm PST on Sunday Sept 17 in person at OpenSpace LA on Fairfax and via livestream. To sign up, register here. To learn more about Ari and his experience, read Live For Live Music’s recent interview with him.
