Isn’t technology awesome? In addition to providing state-of-the-art audio capabilities in venues to create optimal concert experiences and enabling music fans to tune into live shows in real-time from afar and re-listen to old ones after the fact, today’s user-friendly tech also allows designers to work on their wild photo editing skills via their hand-held device. That’s just what a Dutch graphic artist by the name of Ard Gelinck is doing with his time these days, as he runs an Instagram account featuring recent photos of well-known music artists and pop culture subjects digitally combined with images of their younger selves for a unique spin on the “Then & Now” genre. This may seem silly, but Gelinck’s mashup photos are way more fun to look at than your co-worker’s “10-Year Challenge” photos.
As seen in the Instagram posts below, Gelinck’s “Then & Now” account features a mix of artists and celebrities ranging from The Spice Girls and Amy Winehouse to Elvis Presley and Tina Turner. For the most part, it’s pretty tough to pick up on where the old image starts and the more updated one begins! Don’t let us persuade you, though. Check out some of Gelinck’s images below to judge for yourself.

Fans can head over to his Instagram account to check out the entire gallery of notable figures who Gelinck has deemed worthy of (re)working with. Fans should note that there are no “Then & Now” images of Gwen Stefani and Mariah Carey. You know, because they legit don’t age.
