An all-star cast of musicians, actors, scientists, and community leaders will all join forces this Thursday (May 28th) for Artists United For Amazonia, a live virtual event supporting Amazon relief efforts.

Produced by A Nation Earth in collaboration with Extinction Rebellion, Amazon Watch, and Mobilize Earth, Artists United For Amazonia will feature performances by Barbra Streisand, STING & Trudie Styler, Dave Matthews, Ricky Martin, Nahko, Peter Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, and many more.

The event will include actors and actresses like Morgan Freeman, Jeff Bridges, Amber Valletta, and Scott Bakula, as well as scientists/experts such as Jane Goodall, Carlos Nobre, Leila Salazar-Lopez, and Thomas Lovejoy. Furthermore, indigenous leaders and presenters including Sonia Bone Juajajara, Gregorio Diaz Mirabal, Lizardo Cauper, and more will offer their expertise on the current situation in the Amazon rainforest as it relates to deforestation, climate change, and the current global health crisis.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Amazon Emergency Fund, which supports the emergency COVID-19 response for indigenous Amazonian people. The non-profit aids with rapid response grants for urgent and immediate prevention and care; food and medical supplies; emergency communications and evacuation; protection and security for forest guardians; and food sovereignty and community resilience.

Beginning at 8 p.m. ET, the livestream will run until 10:30 p.m. and feature musical performances, entertainment influencers discussing the pressing situation, and much more.
