Backwoods Music Festival has announced the artist lineup for its return to Ozark, AR’s Mulberry Mountain from April 20th–23rd, 2023.

The 2023 edition of the jam- and electronic-focused event will feature headlining performances by Big Gigantic (Thursday, 4/20), Lettuce (Friday, 4/21), The String Cheese Incident (2 sets, Saturday, 4/22), and The Floozies (Sunday, 4/23).

Of particular note, the 2023 Backwoods event will make good on a years-old promise of The String Cheese Incident as a headliner after the band rescheduled a number of 2021 shows due to rising COVID cases. The Disco Biscuits stepped in the fill SCI’s vacated 2021 headlining slot. Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain did not take place in 2022.

Now, with The String Cheese Incident back in the mix for 2023, Backwoods Festival organizers are giving fans some extra consolation Cheese in the form of a “Late Night Acoustic Taco Party.” Attendees who purchased tickets to see SCI at Backwoods Festival in 2021 will receive free tickets to the special late-night jam session if they choose to attend the event in 2023. Others can purchase the add-on ticket for the acoustic set for an additional cost.

“We’re proud to release this lineup that we’ve worked so hard to cultivate for the next Backwoods.” said Backwoods executive producer William Royall in a statement. “We tried to have The String Cheese Incident headline in 2021 but the pandemic prevented their attendance.”
