The 7th Beardfest is officially going down June 14–16, 2018 in the beautiful setting of the Paradise Lakes Campground in Hammonton, New Jersey. The annual fest continues to grow with each passing year under Philadelphia’s psychedelic maestros Out Of The Beardspace, who works tirelessly to curate a unique festival unlike anything else in the area.
The first phase of this year’s Beardfest lineup impresses with sets from headlining acts Medeski, Martin, and MonoNeon, Marco Benevento, Moon Hooch, Ghost-Note (members of Snarky Puppy), Splintered Sunlight (Grateful Dead tribute), Four (Nate Wood of Kneebody), Swift Technique, Tween, G-Nome Project, Muscle Tough, Hungry Ghost, Gnarbot, Karmic Juggernaut, Edenspore, Suburban Sensi, Medusa’s Disco, The Underwater Sounds, Zachademy of Music, John Ferrara (of Consider the Source) & Seth Moutal Duo, Pansong, Sexoffice, Miss Cantaloupe, Upstate Rubdown, Arturo Stable Salsa Exploration, Liat The Ladles, The Quixote Project, and Kingsley Ibeneche, with three nights of live visual art by Rompus. The music coming out of Philly continues to impress with projects like these. As the festival’s mission statement so eloquently states: “In a world where entertainment is often too reduced to a passive, spectator/performer relationship, and where social interactions are too often reduced to quick moments of stolen time, and appreciation of nature is too often kicked aside for the pride of progress, Beardfest attempts to be a breath of fresh air.”
