The 5th Beardfest is officially going down June 16-18 in the beautiful setting of the Paradise Lakes Campground in Hammonton, New Jersey. The annual fest continues to grow with each passing year behind Philadelphia’s psychedelic maestros Out Of The Beardspace, who works tirelessly to curate a unique festival unlike anything else in the area.
The first phase of this year’s lineup impresses with two sets from Out Of The Beardspace, and headlining acts Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Moon Hooch, Start Making Sense, and The Screaming Headless Torsos. Also billed are the West Philly Orchestra, Karmic Juggernaut, Nik Greeley & The Operators, Tweed, and many more exciting up-and-comers. Peep the first phase lineup below:
According to the band, the “lineup has been carefully hand selected to include a wide variety of different musical styles, and features everything from world renowned Grammy award winning artists to the girls next door who you’ve never heard of.” Learn more about who’s billed to play here.
The music coming out of Philly continues to impress with projects like these. As the festival’s mission statement so eloquently states: “In a world where entertainment is often too reduced to a passive, spectator/performer relationship, and where social interactions are too often reduced to quick moments of stolen time, and appreciation of nature is too often kicked aside for the pride of progress, Beardfest attempts to be a breath of fresh air.”
