Last week, Beck shared two new original recordings set to appear on his forthcoming 14th studio LP, Hyperspace, which is due out November 22nd via Capitol Records. The two new songs, “Hyperlife” and “Uneventful Days”, followed the previously-released “Saw Lightning” as the second and third singles from Hyperspace, which was largely co-written and co-produced by hitmaker Pharrell Williams.

On Wednesday, Beck shared the dramatic new music video for “Uneventful Days”, which was directed by Dev Hynes of Blood Orange and features appearances from actors Tessa Thompson, Evan Rachel Wood, and Alia Shawkat.

The video for the dreamy new single opens with footage of random characters in a diner-like setting, where Thompson and Wood make their appearances sitting at a booth while staring at one another. The oozing synths from the song’s production add a relaxing soundscape as the viewer is presented with a mix of different settings and characters throughout. Beck also makes an appearance about 1:40 minutes into the slightly grainy video.

“I asked Dev Hynes from Blood Orange to direct a video for ‘Uneventful Days,'” Beck said in a statement to go with the video’s arrival on Wednesday. “I’ve admired the originality and personal style of the clips that he’s made for himself and for others. I feel lucky to now share the piece he created with friends and collaborators.”
