Béla Fleck will celebrate his new album, My Bluegrass Heart, with an all-star concert at Carnegie Hall on January 9th, 2022. Among the special guests at the lauded banjo player’s homecoming concert in his native New York City are Billy StringsChris ThileMolly Tuttle, and more.

The list of collaborators for the concert mimics that of the guests found on Fleck’s latest album, which came out in September. Also on tap for the show are Sam Bush, Sierra Hull, Michael Cleveland, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer, and Bryan Sutton. The album marked Fleck’s first bluegrass album in over 20 years, as he celebrated his return with many of his contemporaries and those he has inspired.

“Calling something the ‘concert of a lifetime’ sure sounds like hype, and in many cases it would be,” Fleck said in a press release. “But not this time! At least for my world and my music, this is an unprecedented opportunity to bring some of the brightest instrumental lights in bluegrass—or any other music for that matter—to the incredible Carnegie Hall stage.”
