Béla Fleck & The Flecktones will continue their ongoing run of tour dates in celebration of the quartet’s 30th-anniversary into the first few months of 2020, the band announced on Friday.
Following their previously-announced upcoming run of shows throughout the fall months, the band comprised of Béla Fleck, Victor Wooten, Howard Levy, and Roy “Futureman” Wooten will pick up their celebratory North American tour dates early next year beginning on March 22nd with a show at Roanoke, VA’s Jefferson Center.
From there, the band will continue along the east coast throughout the remainder of March with performances at Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA (3/24); the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY (3/25); the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH (3/26); Berklee Performance Center in Boston, MA (3/27); and the Staller Center in Stony Brook, NY (3/28).
Fleck also shared an update on the status of the band to go with the 2020 tour announcement on Friday, saying, “The band is a creative idealistic project, one that somehow connects with people in a profound way. Nothing about any of that has changed in 30 years. The Flecktones are touring for the sheer love of playing and celebrating our friendship. That’s why we get together these days.”
The band recently completed a run of summer tour dates which began with their appearance at the very special Friends & Family show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre back on May 30th alongside The Colorado Symphony, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, and Abigail Washburn.
