Nearly 15 years since the release of their last album, 2006’s Play Pause Stop, the Benevento/Russo Duo will reunite once again for a special livestream from Relix Studios on Monday. The jam publication made the surprise announcement on Monday shortly before the stream’s 5 p.m. ET start time.

Airing exclusively on The Relix Channel on Twitch, the pop-up concert will also be a rare acoustic set. The Benevento/Russo Duo—also known simply as The Duo—has been on the shelf for a number of years as both Joe Russo and Marco Benevento have pursued other projects. Benevento has built up a successful solo career in his trio featuring bassist Karina Rykman and drummer Dave Butler. Meanwhile, Russo quickly developed a name for himself as the drummer in the post-Grateful Dead collaboration Furthur, featuring Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. In 2013, the two musicians united once again for what was intended as a one-off show as Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, which quickly caught fire in the jam scene.

Tune into The Relix Channel on Twitch at 5 p.m. ET for a special acoustic pop-up performance from the Benevento/Russo Duo.

[UPDATE 3/29/21, 5:30 p.m. ET]: Following the brief surprise stream, FANS announced a full Benevento/Russo Duo acoustic livestream set to take place on Saturday, April 3rd. Tickets for the pay-per-view livestream are available here.
