[UPDATE]: Billy Strings on Tuesday locked in the venues he and his band will play on their upcoming 2022 fall tour, as well as announced ticketing information. Tickets for the shows, which were originally announced back in May and include Halloween and New Year’s Eve runs, go on sale to the public on Friday with password-protected artist pre-sales beginning on Wednesday. The venue for Billy’s two-night New Year’s Eve run in New Orleans on December 30th and 31st has yet to be announced.

The new crop of tour dates pick up on September 28th at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in the California state capitol, following the second-annual edition of Billy’s Renewal festival in Beuna Vista, CO. Strings and his bandmates Billy Failing (banjo), Royal Masat (bass), and Jarrod Walker (mandolin) will stick around the Golden State for stops at Frost Amphitheater in Stanford (9/30), Ohana Fest in Dana Point (10/1), and The Wiltern in Los Angeles (10/2) before heading to Texas for a pair of sets at Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival on October 7th and 14th. Between those sets are a pair of concerts on the 7th and 13th still to be announced.

After a one-off show at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, OK (10/15), Strings will return to Asheville, NC for another three-night Halloween run at ExploreAsheville.com Arena (10/29–10/31). Billy will head home to Michigan for a pair of shows in Kalamazoo (11/3) and Saginaw (11/4) and finish out the weekend at Pittsburgh, PA’s Petersen Events Center.

The remainder of Billy’s fall and winter tour dates will feature stops at iconic venues including Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY (11/9), The Met in Philadelphia, PA (11/12–11/13) as well as The Anthem in Washington, D.C. (11/18–11/19), interspersed with shows in Rochester, NY (11/9) and Richmond, VA (11/16). The four-piece then has more dates in Europe including Berlin, Stockholm, Amsterdam, London, Manchester, and more throughout November and December before returning to the U.S. to finish out 2022 in NOLA.

[5/9/22]: Billy Strings has rounded out his tour schedule for 2022 with 21 new dates including multi-night Halloween and New Year’s Eve runs.

The new crop of 2022 tour dates includes return trips to Asheville, NC, where he celebrated All Hallows Eve in 2021, for three nights over Halloween weekend and New Orleans, LA, where he just last week headlined a day of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and sat in with The String Cheese Incident at Daze Between New Orleans—for a two-night New Year’s celebration.

Also included on Sunday’s tour announcement was Strings’ return to Buena Vista, CO, the site of his 2021 Renewal album release festival. Strings and his bandmates Billy Failing (banjo), Jarrod Walker (mandolin), and Royal Masat (bass) will celebrate the fall solstice in the scenic town on September 23rd and 24th.

The fall tour announcement also includes new shows in Stanford, CA (9/30); Los Angeles, CA (10/2); Oklahoma City, OK (10/15); Kalamazoo, MI (11/3); Saginaw, MI (11/4); Pittsburgh, PA (11/5); Rochester, NY (11/9); Uniondale, NY (11/11); Philadelphia, PA (11/12, 11/13); Richmond, VA (11/16); and Washington, D.C. (11/18, 11/19) before heading overseas for a Europe/United Kingdom run.

There are still four unannounced cities on the tour schedule on October 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th. Venues for all newly announced shows will be revealed at a later date.
