[7/29/22]: Billy Strings will celebrate Halloween in Asheville, NC with a three-night “Away From The Shire”-themed run. The concerts on October 29th, 30th, and 31st at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena will pay tribute to J.R.R. Tolkien‘s Lord of the Rings book series, as well as Peter Jackson‘s groundbreaking film trilogy.
Strings announced the Halloween theme on Friday, July 29th, which he noted was the anniversary of when Tolkein published the first volume of the iconic book trio in 1954.

This fall will mark Billy’s second consecutive Halloween run at the downtown Asheville arena, and his third year overall celebrating the holiday in the western North Carolina music hub. In 2021, Strings and his then-quartet staged a Wizard of Oz-themed run, complete with costumes (Strings as the scarecrow, Billy Failing as Dorothy, Royal Masat as the Cowardly Lion, and Jarrod Walker as the Tin Man), a Pink Floyd cover debut, and an Elton John “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” debut as an epic finale to the three shows.
