Last November, folk-rock guitarist Billy Strings welcomed his New Jersey fans to The Stone Pony where the musician treated folks to a performance at the oceanside venue that featured a mix of new originals and some covers of local Garden State rockers including Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.

On Thursday, Jams In The Sand shared the pro-shot video highlighting Strings’ performance of Springsteen’s “Atlantic City” from the November 10th show.

Strings’ rendition of the Springsteen original, which first appeared on his 1982 Nebraska solo album, hears the young bluegrass guitarist staying within his own vocal comfort with help from his backing band comprised of banjoist Billy Failing, upright bassist Royal Masat, and mandolinist Jarrod Walker. Failing and Walker chime in with their own harmonic vocal contributions during the choruses, after which Walker takes the spotlight with some fantastic lead lines out of his mandolin.
