Billy Strings has revealed details for his upcoming three-night run of Halloween shows in Asheville. The bluegrass picker will take the stage at the ExploreAshville.com Arena on October 29th, 30th, and 31st. The poster art (which features a yellow brick road) and the caption shared along with the announcement (“OH MY! We’re over the rainbow…”) seem to hint at a Wizard of Oz theme for the run.

A pre-sale of tickets for the three-night run of concerts begins on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET via Strings’ website with the general public on-sale beginning at the same time on Friday. Fans can head over to his site now to sign up for an on-sale alert. This venue announcement comes two weeks after Strings and his eponymous ensemble—featuring banjo player Billy Failing, upright bassist Royal Masat, and mandolinist Jarrod Walker—announced over 50 concert dates that will take the group from July through New Year’s Day, 2022.

The vast majority of the shows were listed without venues, however, and instead just showed a date and city. The Asheville Halloween run comes as one of the first concerts to have a confirmed venue.

With no 2020 Halloween shows to speak of, this will serve as the second consecutive Halloween run that Strings has hosted in Asheville. In 2019, the bluegrass outfit hosted A Clockwork Orange Peel at fellow Asheville venue The Orange Peel. The past two years have been good to Strings, despite the pandemic, as he has jumped from a 1,050-person capacity venue in 2019 to a 7,200-person capacity venue in 2021.
