Psychedelic-rock outfit The Black Angels will release a compilation of live recordings from performances at their own Austin Psych Fest (now known as LEVITATION) from 2010, 2011, and 2012.

The live album scheduled for a March 26th release will arrive on limited pressings of five different colored vinyl patterns, and marks the latest installment of The Reverberation Society‘s Live at Levitation series which has already seen Kikagaku Moyo – Live at LEVITATION released earlier this year. The band also shared a pro-shot video highlighting their performance of “Manipulation” from Austin’s Seaholm Powerplant at the 2011 festival, which featured a sit-in from Rishi Dhir on sitar. The performance is one of six live cuts that will be included on the album tracklist.

“Since the beginning… The Black Angels were meant to be heard live. This record captures the rumble of the drums and amps, and the very essence of the way it should sound,” guitarist and founding member Christian Bland said of the live album. “Now future generations and new listeners can now hear how these songs were meant to be heard.”
