Pop-punk mainstays Blink-182 have shared a new video for their latest holiday anthem, “Not Another Christmas Song”, which features claymation models of the band members performing in Santa’s workshop to a crew of clumsy elves and a deranged reindeer.

The song’s cheerful melody is juxtaposed by the song’s actual lyrics, which ask for a divorce for Christmas and celebrating “another year not in a coffin.” Of all the feelings the song actually conjures; melancholy, loneliness, and depression, yuletide is fairly low on the list.

This is actually the band’s third attempt at a Christmas song, and may just be their best and most true-to-form yet. Their first attempt was 2001’s “I Won’t Be Home For Christmas”, which encapsulated the band at the peak of their popularity and while they were still fully committed to their punk roots. Later that same year, they released the fast-paced “Happy Holidays, You Bastards” which appeared on their Take Off Your Pants And Your Jacket album, which was more an arthritic-riff driven punchline than an actual attempt at a Christmas song, even with added “Fa-la-la-las.”
