While the lineup stacked with top-quality bluegrass and Americana music is welcome news, the sheer fact that there is a lineup announcement is arguably more important than the lineup itself. Blue Ox Music Festival has made a definite statement by putting out a lineup for August 2021 as the Pfizer vaccine begins distribution in the United States. Earlier this month, Live Nation President Joe Berchtold predicted that large scale concerts and events would be able to return by summer 2021, and it appears that Blue Ox organizers have the same theory.

In a press release, the Blue Ox team noted that the 2021 festival would operate at a reduced capacity. Due to this shift in policy, in addition to many 2020 ticket holders’ decisions to roll their passes over to the following year, the festival is already 50% sold out.
