Described by founder Todd Mayo as “Austin City Limits meets ‘Nova’,” Bluegrass Underground will return for its sixth season this year on PBS. Located 333 feet below the ground in McMinnville, Tenn, Bluegrass Underground transports attendees to a truly one-of-a-kind concert experience.

Filming will begin on April 1st for an episode called “From a Whisper to a Scream” and will feature mandolin player Sierra Hull, The Cox Family, Jason and the Scorchers and Drivin’ N Cryin’. Taping on April 2nd allocated for the “Bluegrass, Americana and Folk Roots” show will include eight-time CMA Musician of the Year winner Mac McAnally, bluegrass band Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, The Dave Rawlings Machine and Hurray for the Riff Raff.

Bluegrass Underground’s final day of filming will occur on April 3rd for the “Pan-American Dance Party” show and will include St. Paul and the Broken Bones, The Lone Bellow, J.J. Grey and Mofro and The Suffers. Bluegrass Underground is said to air at some point next Fall.

Package deals for all three-nights at Bluegrass Underground, including VIP and Bucket List packages will go on sale Friday, January 29th and can be found here. Remaining tickets will be available on Saturday, January 30th.
