Bob Weir And Amazon Are Developing A Grateful Dead Biography Series

As Amazon looks to expand its original content, the Internet giant has announced a brand new Grateful Dead biography series. The whole series will be executive produced by guitarist Bob Weir.

The series will be based on a 2003 biography titled Home Before Daylight: My Life On the Road with the Grateful Dead, written by longtime roadie Steve Parish. As of now, no one is attached to write the series, but Parish is attached as an executive producer as well.

The announcement comes on the heels of a newly-revealed marijuana-themed comedy starring Margaret Cho, perhaps showing the progressive direction that Amazon aims to take in their original content.

As of now, there’s no word what the docu-series will be called or who will be involved. We’ll be sure to update when we know more about this exciting series!
