In 2015, one of the major highlights of LOCKN’ was Bob Weir’s surprise sit-in with Tedeschi Trucks Band during their performance on Saturday, September 12th. That year, Tedeschi Trucks Band’s second set of the weekend (which included the collaboration with Weir) came on the heels of the group’s headlining tribute to Joe Cocker the night before, which saw the group joined by Leon Russell, Dave Mason, Rita Coolidge, Chris Robinson, and others. Yesterday, Relix dropped a new pro-shot video of Tedeschi Trucks Band and Bob Weir’s collaboration on a cover of Robert Johnson’s “Walkin’ Blues”, which you can enjoy below.

Since its first year in 2013, LOCKN’ has become renowned for its enviable lineup, which frequently taps the largest names in the jam scene and has become a home to the surviving members of the Grateful Dead. This year, the festival will host Dead & Company for four sets across two days, as well as Umphrey’s McGee (three sets over two days), Tedeschi Trucks Band (two sets over two days), Widespread Panic, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (two sets over two days) Sheryl Crow, Turkuaz, Lettuce (three sets over two days, including a tribute to Jerry Garcia Band), Foundation of Funk: Celebrating 50 Years Of The Meters, George Clinton & P-Funk, Toots & The Maytals, Blues Traveler, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Moon Taxi, Spafford, Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Suffers, Ghost Light, Southern Avenue, BIG Something, and Matisyahu, among others. More information and tickets can be found on LOCKN’s website here.
