Bob Weir and Wolf Bros are headed to Sweetwater Music Hall later this summer for a three-night run of intimate performances scheduled for August 1st-3rd. The opening night of the weekend residency at Weir’s Mill Valley, CA venue will notably take place on what would’ve been Jerry Garcia‘s 77th birthday.

The trio, also comprised of bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane, mostly performs stripped-down interpretations of music originally written or played by Weir’s former band the Grateful Dead. The group hasn’t been in action since their headlining performance at Southern California’s Beach Life Festival back in early May, but seem to now be Weir’s go-to musical outlet when he’s not on the road with his Dead & Company bandmates.

Speaking of Dead & Co., the band just wrapped a two-show run at The Gorge in George, WA over the weekend with the latest stop on their ongoing summer tour, which is scheduled to pick up again tomorrow night with a performance at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center (formerly known as Deer Creek) in Noblesville, IN.

Fans who can’t make it to the trio’s three-show run at Sweetwater can still see Bob Weir and Wolf Bros at Virgina’s LOCKN’ Festival and California’s Santa Cruz Mountain Sol Festival later on in the year.

Tickets for the three Sweetwater performances go on sale this Thursday, June 13th, at 10 a.m. PT here.
