Bob Weir‘s social media workout videos are starting to become as synonymous with the veteran guitarist as those classic denim short-shorts he wore during his days with the Grateful Dead. In reality, it was only a matter of time before Weir released an official workout playlist to go with those inspiring workout clips, which he shared via Spotify on Monday.

Weir’s workouts, which range from traditional weight-training machines and cardio equipment to whatever the hell this thing is, have caught on amongst the Grateful Dead and jam band community. As inspiring as the various exercises of his gym-based or DIY workout setups can be, his official playlist is just as diverse.

Artists included on the playlist–which Weir credits to his daughters for helping him curate–include artists from his era of pop stars including Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, The Doors, Little Richard, Crosby, Still Nash & Young, and Chuck Berry, along with some of today’s hitmakers in Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, Post Malone, Adele, Flume, Gryffin, and Halsey.

Weir’s workouts have become so popular in fact, that prior to the modern world shutting down thanks to COVID-19, the guitarist had planned to give a lucky winner the chance to hit the gym with him. We’re assuming that contest has been put on hold (along with Wolf Bros‘ winter tour dates) until the global pandemic passes. Until then, fans now wait for Weir to release that highly-anticipated “Grateful Bod” workout app.
