While the music world has turned to live streaming and premiering new content amid the ongoing cancellation of live music events, organizers for Borderland Music & Arts Festival have shared unreleased video footage of Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass warming up backstage with bassist Oteil Burbridge and members of The Infamous Stringdusters.

The newly released behind-the-scenes video shows the group rehearsing the Grateful Dead‘s “Eyes Of The World” in the historic equestrian stables at East Aurora, NY’s Knox Farm State Park ahead of their performance at the 2019 festival last September. The debut collaboration among the set of musicians made for a special performance at the upstate New York festival as the sun went down on September 22nd, casting a golden light over the 600-acre park.

During their performance, the group performed fan-favorite Dead tunes including “Shakedown Street”, “Scarlet Begonias”, and a mash-up of “Cumberland Blues” and “They Love Each Other”, dubbed “They Cumberlove Each Other.”

“It was a true honor ot have some of my favorite artists and friends come together to perform at Borderland paying homage to the Grateful Dead with such a beautiful set. As a promoter, it is one of those unforgettable moments in time,” Borderland festival owner, Jennifer Brazill said.

Fans can now listen to the full seven-song set below as we remain “grateful” in these strange times.
