Boston Calling will return to Harvard Athletic Complex Memorial Day weekend, May 26th–28th, 2023, with a diverse lineup of over 50 performers including Foo Fighters, The Lumineers, Paramore, Alanis Morissette, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Queens of the Stone Age.
In addition to these major artists, the festival’s lineup will feature King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The National, Noah Kahan, Bleachers, Niall Horan, The Flaming Lips, Mt. Joy, Maren Morris, Celisse, and many more.
The festival will also showcase up-and-coming artists and a number of local acts, with 20 artists with local ties performing on both the festival’s local and main stages throughout the weekend. Newer artists to discover include Chelsea Cutler, LÉON, Fletcher, 070 Shake, Teddy Swims, Joy Oladokun, The Linda Lindas, The Beaches, Brutus, Genesis Owusu, and The Aces. Exciting local artists include Neemz, Q-Tip Bandits, GA-20, Juice, NPR Tiny Desk Contest winner Alisa Amador, Mint Green, Blue Light Bandits, Ali McGuirk, Coral Moons, Actor Observer, Workman Song, Brandie Blaze, Couch, Little Fuss, Najee Janey, Summer Cult, Sorry Mom, and Chrysalis.
This lineup revelation comes amidst of flurry of announcements for Foo Fighters, who at the end of 2022 confirmed they will continue to perform without drummer Taylor Hawkins. The group’s longtime drummer died last March at the age of 50 while the band was on tour in Colombia. Since then, Foo Fighters have been confirmed as headliners at Bonnaroo and Sonic Temple.
This year the festival will also introduce the new GA+ upgrade, which grants unlimited access to the festival’s Thomas Tew VIP Reserve Lounge, where attendees can enjoy craft cocktails, an expanded beer and wine menu, and complimentary water and soft drinks. In addition to the full bars and comforts of the lounges, VIP and Platinum ticket holders will have access to exclusive viewing areas within the VIP and Platinum sections.
Also returning is the festival’s double-decker VIP experience, which offers dramatic views of both the Red Stage and Green Stage. Platinum pass holders will also be able to enjoy menus by some of Boston’s best chefs while watching performers from an expanded viewing deck within the Platinum section. They will also have access to a full specially priced bar featuring premium beer, fine wine, and craft cocktails, a daily gifting suite with complimentary products, and a daily complimentary parking pass (three-day pass holders only).
