On Sunday, teenage guitar phenom Brandon “Taz” Niederauer made his way to Chicago to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the Chicago Cubs‘ game against the Cincinnati Reds at the historic Wrigley Field. While the home team fell to the Reds 10-2, Taz’s Jimi Hendrix-inspired, solo guitar rendition of the National Anthem made everyone at Wrigley feel like a winner on this Memorial Day weekend. Taz has performed the National Anthem ahead of major sporting events on numerous occasions, including a Philadelphia Sixers game in late 2018. His 2019 National Anthem performance at Wrigley Field is also not his first time playing ahead of a Cubs game. One day shy of a year ago, he also performed it ahead of a game at the historic ballpark.
