Former Queen guitarist Brian May has kept himself busy while staying home over these last few weeks. The famous guitarist has utilized the power of digital technology to share with his fans, for example, tutorials on how to play the solo for Queen’s stadium rock anthem, “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

May’s latest initiative saw him recruit a mix of musicians for an international, virtual performance covering Queen’s 1984 single, “Hammer To Fall”.

In a new video shared over the weekend, May, along with British musicians, drummer Chris Allan and bassist Ally McLachlin, Spanish guitarist Danny Gomez, and American singer/pianist Mig Ayesa, tear through a cover of “Hammer To Fall”. It’s worth noting that Gomez and Ayesa are longtime cast members of the musical production based on Queen’s music, We Will Rock You.

Meanwhile, in Italy, amateur musicians are turning to public performances of songs out of Queen’s beloved catalog as ways to keep a sense of normalcy during the country’s national quarantine.
