Brittany Howard on Tuesday released two more selections from her upcoming Jaime Reimagined album, this time featuring BADBADNOTGOOD and Little Dragon. The reconstructed version of the Alabama Shakes singer’s debut solo album is out digitally on July 23rd.

For their part, the Candian jazz outfit BADBADNOTGOOD takes on the forward-looking “Tomorrow”. With drummer Alexander Sowinski guiding the way through the jazz-inspired take on the instant R&B classic, BADBAD melds styles with Howard as wind instruments take “Tomorrow” to a new hybrid territory. The mostly instrumental band has prior experience providing musical accompaniment to others’ works, including Ghostface Killah‘s Sour Soul.

Swedish electronic collective Little Dragon puts its own spin on “Presence” with a flurry of light instrumentation. The understated contextual soundscapes create a slow build effect that is not of this time and possibly not of this planet.

“Making Jaime was so much fun for me because I was able to explore so many different genres of music. There were no rules,” Howard said. “This reimagination project has been no different. I have been honored to have so many incredible artists from all musical worlds interpret my songs in such interesting and different ways.”

Jaime Reimagined will also host contributions from Childish Gambino, Bon Iver, Laura MvulaEARTHGANGCommonMichael KiwanukaSt Francis Hotel, and more.
