Brooklyn Bowl will reopen the doors of its original location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in September, kicking off a lineup of 50+ eclectic shows set to take place through the rest of 2021 and into 2022.

The Brooklyn Bowl reopening lineup features a mix of rescheduled 2020 shows, recently announced dates, and newly unveiled performances. The venue has not hosted concerts with full audiences since early 2020, although a handful of bands have performed livestream shows from the Brooklyn Bowl stage in the interim.

“After getting through the past year in New York City, we’re all ravenous for outstanding live music and a communal experience – not to mention some beer and a little bowling,” says co-founder Charley Ryan in a statement.

The return of Brooklyn Bowl will kick off on Wednesday, September 8th with a performance by reggae stalwarts The Wailers with specials guest SunDub, presented by Pacifico.

Opening month highlights include Ghost-Note (9/9) and the return of Questlove‘s famed Bowl Train DJ set later that night, two nights of Dopapod (9/10, 9/11), The Infamous Stringdusters (9/16), Tank and the Bangas (9/17), White Denim (9/19), Neal Francis (9/22), and a long-running Brooklyn Bowl tradition, Emo Night Brooklyn (9/24, 9/25).

Brooklyn Bowl’s return to action will continue in October with notable performances including TAUK with Paris_Monster (10/2), Melvin Seals & JGB (10/7), The New Mastersounds (10/8, 10/9), Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and Roosevelt Collier Band (10/13), Talib Kweli Live Band (10/14, 10/15), Pink Talking Fish (10/16), Dumpstaphunk (10/23), Yonder Mountain String Band w/ Kitchen Dwellers (10/28), Perpetual Groove (10/29), and Samantha Fish (10/30).

Drive-By Truckers will kick off the month of November at Brooklyn Bowl with a four-night run on 11/3–11/6. The month will continue with shows from Antibalas (11/12, 11/13), Boombox (11/20), Robert Randolph & Friends (11/24), and Marco Benevento (11/27).

In December, The Hold Steady will head to the concert venue/bowling alley/restaurant for a four-night run (12/1–12/4). The following week, moe. will hit the stage at the Bowl (12/9).

Adds co-founder Peter Shapiro, “Brooklyn Bowl’s superlative, wide-ranging lineup has something for everyone, and we can’t wait to give our fans the magic feeling that only a live show can give.”
