A new record label launched two days ago under the name Vintage League Music. Their goal is to “let music fans in on an incredible secret that’s magically unfolding in front of your eyes.” The concept is taking over Iron Wax Studios, with continuous updates on their Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
Their first project? Brothers EP: a collaboration between bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company, Allman Brothers) and keyboardist and flautist Kofi Bubridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Derek Trucks Band), and keyboardist Neal Evans (Lettuce, Soulive) and Alan Evans (Soulive, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe). With clear musical genes running in both families, it seems only natural for them to get together for a collaborative record.
Check out some of the exciting updates from the project, which we are all very eager to learn more about:

Both Burbridges will also be on hand for the Earth Wind & Power tribute, hosted by The Nth Power for a late night on April 28th. All information can be found on our NOLA Jazz Fest Late Night guide.
