Carlos Santana is “taking it easy” after he collapsed during his concert at Pine Knob Music Theatre on Tuesday evening. About 40 minutes into his set, the legendary guitarist went down and was treated by EMS onstage before the show in Clarkston, MI concluded early.

In a Facebook post around midnight, Santana wrote, “to one and all thank you for your precious prayers Cindy and I we are good just taking it easy.” The guitarist noted that he “forgot to eat and drink water so i dehydrated and passed out.”

As Santana was carted offstage by emergency services, he reportedly waved to the crowd before the audience was informed via PA that the show would not continue. He was taken to McLaren Clarkston for observation and is “doing well,” according to his manager Michael Vrionis. Santana was due to split the bill with Earth Wind & Fire at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, PA tonight, July 6th, but that has been postponed to a later date with more details to follow through Live Nation.
