Colorado fans, get ready for an imminent funk explosion! Both venues at Cervantes – Masterpiece and The Other Side – are teaming up for a full day and night of funk music on February 11th, with headlining bands Foundation of Funk and James Brown Dance Party. The two groups will bring together elite musicians from across the scene for a true funk extravaganza!

Foundation of Funk will headline the night, anchored by George Porter, Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters. The elite funk rhythm section will be joined by John Medeski and Eddie Roberts for this edition of Foundation of Funk, recruiting the famed keyboardist and guitarist for a true dance party celebration.

But that’s not all! After the Foundation of Funk players jam, there will be a rocking James Brown Dance Party! That set will feature Fred Wesley (James Brown, The JBs), Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), Jeremy Salken (Big Gigantic), Borahm Lee (Break Science/Pretty Lights Band), Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce), Corey Frye (The Main Squeeze), Nicholas Gerlach (Michal Menert), Victor Little (20th Congress), and The Chase Brothers.

Additionally, the night will feature appearances from Juno What?!, Jubilingo, and The Workshy. Tickets and more information for the show can be found here.
