Charlie Hunter joined forces with John Mayer and drummer Adam Goodhue for a blues collaboration, which the musician posted to his Instagram page on Thursday.

In the video, Goodhue leads the trio into the 12-bar blues shuffle performance which saw each musician record their parts from a separate location. Hunter holds down the bass groove on his Hybrid Guitar while Mayer, of course, provides some soaring lead licks with his PRS Silver Sky guitar.

Charlie Hunter, John Mayer, Adam Goodhue – 12-bar Blues Shuffle

This is hardly the first collaboration Hunter has put together amid the coronavirus pandemic. Over the past six weeks, Hunter has enlisted dozens of musicians for similar videos including Ernest Stuart and Kurt Elling to Benny Greb and Ash Soan. As far as Mayer is concerned, the guitarist was set to perform with Dead & Company during their 2020 summer tour, however, that run of shows saw a recent cancellation due to the ongoing crisis.
